One of our main missions is to reduce the carbon footprint of each product we offer, so we want to explain more about it.
What is a Carbon Footprint?
It is the total amount of greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide (CO2), produced by your activities, directly or indirectly. Every product we use, including our activewear, comes with its own carbon footprint from its production, use, and disposal.
The Issue with Traditional Activewear
Traditionally, activewear has been produced using non-renewable resources such as petroleum to create synthetic fibers like polyester and nylon. The manufacturing process for these materials is energy-intensive and releases significant amounts of CO2. Additionally, every time we wash these synthetic clothes, tiny plastic particles, known as microplastics, are released into our waterways, causing further harm to the environment.
Era W - Sustainable Activewear
Our products are biobased. These materials require less energy and water to grow and process than non-organic counterparts, further decreasing the associated carbon footprint.
We also ensure our manufacturing processes are energy-efficient, reducing their CO2 emissions. But also prioritizing fair trade and ensuring a positive social impact.
All our products are designed to last! By using the clothes for a longer time, we reduce the demand for new clothing production and its associated carbon emissions.
